Your job will help us transform ideas and business requirements into high-quality products, a challenging and rewarding task! You will work with a vibrant team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Who you are

  • You are a passionate UX/UI Designer with experience in designing user interfaces following a process that involves understanding macro-user and business requirements, creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, and conducting user testing.
  • You can design UI Key pages and work with Design Systems.
  • You look forward to collaborating closely with a team of designers, software engineers, and project managers to challenge and understand product requirements from a business perspective.
  • You feel comfortable talking to clients to discuss their business needs and turn them into product requirements.
  • You are proactive and autonomous and do not like to be micro-managed. You love exploring new things, and you are able to evaluate the pros and cons of what you have learned.
  • You have a thing for good UI, whether it is in the products you make for a client or an internal tool used by your colleagues. You strive for perfection and know when to make the appropriate trade-offs.
  • You are curious and have a lot of interests (that you want to share with us!), and you enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with your co-workers.
  • You speak Italian fluently and English proficiently.

Who we are

  • We are a team of skilled people who love learning and sharing.
  • We promote a culture of kindness and empathy where everyone’s voice matters.
  • We continuously improve everything we do, from technical skills to internal processes. We dedicate a full day a week to our improvement.
  • We take on challenging projects and build them in-house. We don’t do ‘body-rental’ of resources: we build and leverage our team's experience to deliver high-quality software solutions to complex business problems. We are the first stakeholders of the products we build.
  • We are Buildo.

Ready to get on board?

We assess candidates' technical and non-technical skills, attitudes, and potential to determine how we can support their growth over time, depending on the job requirements.

First contact

If your profile catches our attention, we will schedule a 30-minute phone call with you. We will have the opportunity to get to know each other better and share our stories.

Technical interview

If you apply for a technical position, such as a developer or designer role, we will conduct a one-hour interview to assess the necessary hard skills and knowledge.

Behavioral interview

If you have the required hard skills, we will evaluate your soft skills. We especially care about aspects such as the ability to collaborate with coworkers, teaching skills, and empathy.

Take-home project

For the final step, we will give you plenty of time to independently complete a 4 to 6-hour-long task, small but realistic. We will pay for your effort upon task completion, not its success.

Onboarding

You did it! What's next? During onboarding, you’ll familiarize with the work environment and company culture, and get to know your new colleagues and their roles.

Training & Evaluation

During the initial weeks, we will provide comprehensive training and evaluate your progress on both practical and theoretical skills, tools, and methodology.

Still curious?

What is like to work at Buildo?

We like to share moments of our life at Buildo on our Instagram profile.

You can learn more about our activities inside and outside the office, the people who work there and their points of view on the company, the technology, and our work.

I can’t find an open role that’s right for me. What should I do?

Don't worry! If you think Buildo might need you, go ahead and submit a spontaneous application. Please specify in the notes the value you could bring to Buildo and the role you envision for yourself.

Do you have full-remote positions?

Not exactly. Being together has always been part of Buildo's DNA. However, we have a hybrid remote work policy that considers our team's and the company's needs.

Employees are required to be physically present only on specific occasions, such as project days (one day a week dedicated to the main project the person is working on), Buildo days (one day a month), and on-site weeks (two weeks a year).

Additionally, we have introduced Remote Months, which allows our employees to work remotely for two months a year. This initiative allows our team members to spend time with their families or work from other locations across the globe.

Do you provide body rental service to your clients?

We do not provide body rental services to our clients. Building a high-performing development team is crucial for creating successful software products.

To achieve this, we take numerous steps to nurture a team that can realize your vision, from recruiting the right talent to cultivating a positive team culture. Therefore, we prefer establishing impactful, long-term partnerships through project-based collaborations rather than providing body rental services.

Is it necessary to know Italian to work at Buildo?

Speaking Italian is necessary if you are considering a position at Buildo, as it is the primary language used within the company, even though we use English extensively with our international clients. Knowledge of Italian is optional only for collaboration roles.

Regardless of your language skills, we will do everything possible to make you feel welcome and part of the team! We highly value and embrace diverse cultures and perspectives.
